BALLINA MACCAS INCIDENT |

What was initially reported as a possibly drug
affected male refusing to leave, grunting but not
acknowledging anyone and at one point behind the
counter at the McDonald's store on the corner of
Kerr Street and Bangalow Road in Ballina quickly
turned into what can only be reported as a siege
situation a few minutes later when a male jumped the
counter and armed himself with a large knife.
The attached audio is a recording from NSW
Police Radio demonstrating the seriousness of the
situation with numerous police, including a dog
unit, coming from far and wide. |
