Infant dies after rescued from pool – Pimlico
Police will prepare a report for the information of the Coroner
following the death of a baby, after being rescued from a pool on
Friday.
About 12.30pm (Friday 16 January 2015), emergency services were
called to a home on Pimlico Road, Pimlico, following reports of a
baby being rescued from a backyard pool.
The 21-month-old boy
was taken to Lismore Hospital, before being airlifted to Lady
Cilento Children’s Hospital in a critical condition.
Last
night (Saturday 17 January 2015); the boy died in hospital.
A
post mortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause of
the child’s death and police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
