LABRADOR ARMED ROBBERY

Detectives investigating the armed robbery of a service station at Labrador early this morning have released CCTV footage of the incident.

Around 2.40am a man entered the Frank Street business before taking bottles of softdrink to the counter.

As the attendant was processing the sale, the man produced a large knife, threatening the 25-year-old male store attendant while attempting to steal the cash drawer.

The man then stole the till drawer before fleeing the scene.

The store attendant sustained a minor cut to his hand during the incident.

The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, aged in his late 30s, about 183cm tall and appearing to have an injury to his left knee.

He was wearing a New South Wales Blues Origin cap, a dark jumper, khaki three-quarter length pants and a knee brace.

Anyone who may recognise the man depicted in the footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
