LOCAL COURT
REGISTRAR SUPPORTS DISCRIMINATION |

EDITORIAL
A series of events led to the vision below being recorded this
morning in Lismore.
A media alert was issued a few days ago
regarding the Attorney General, Gabriel Upton MP, coming to Lismore
this morning to announce funding for technology upgrades.
Like many previous media alerts, I decided to attend. What I did not
know was that this one was to occur inside the court house and that
it would involve the Lismore Local Court Registrar, Michael Knock.
When media were told where to go by the sheriff, I was advised
that I was not welcome to enter the court. I proceeded to enter the
court house and waited outside the court with the only other person
to attend, a reporter from the Northern Star.
The time came
to enter and the Northern Star reporter was allowed in. I was told I
could not enter.
As I challenged the sheriff, some backup
came. I was then threatened with having my camera taken from me for
recording inside the court house, which I was not doing, and then
ordered to leave under the Court Security Act when they realised I
was not recording. I left as instructed.
I then waited
outside the court house to ask Ms Upton some questions about what
was allowed to transpire while she was in the building. It seems she
was told a number of things, such as not to speak to me, and
listened to that advice.
Most of what happened as everyone
left the court house can be viewed in the vision provided.
There is no doubt in my mind that Registrar Michael Knock is
responsible for this morning's discrimination and the ongoing
behaviour in direct contravention of the Australian Competition &
Consumer Commission anti-competitive behaviour laws yet again
providing the Northern Star with an unfair advantage over a
competing media agency.
With a reach of over 200,000 just on
Facebook in the last week, and thousands more reached through the
North Coast Crime website, I think it is irrelevant if Mr Knock does
not recognise me as media.
Radio is ok, television is slow
and print media are all but obsolete. It is a new age and prompt
dissemination of information through social media is the new
playground for news and no-one does it quicker than North Coast
Crime when on the ball.
Big Rob.
